Diadem Sports and Broward College Partner to Open 9-Court Indoor Pickleball Facility

Coconut Creek, Florida - Diadem Sports, a global sports equipment brand with headquarters in Pompano Beach, FL, has announced the opening of a new indoor pickleball facility in partnership with Broward College. The Diadem Pickleball Complex, located at the former Omni Auditorium on Broward College's north campus in Coconut Creek, Florida, is set to open its doors in June 2023 and will feature nine championship-level indoor courts.

The Diadem Pickleball Complex will offer a variety of programming for players of all skill levels, from first-time pickleballers to touring pros like Diadem’s Christian Alshon. Structured open play, clinics, tournaments, leagues and social events will all be hosted at the facility, welcoming players of all skill levels. There will also be an indoor lounge available for guests to eat, drink, socialize, and watch pickleball. The lounge will feature snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and food trucks on select days/nights and weekends. Diadem will also have a complete pro shop experience at the facility.

"We are thrilled to be opening the Diadem Pickleball Complex in partnership with Broward College," said Evan Specht, Co-Founder of Diadem Sports. "Diadem has continued to focus on growing pickleball around the world, and this is just another example of our commitment to that goal. The more courts we can make accessible, the faster pickleball can grow."

The new facility, which will be open to the public seven days a week from 7am to 10pm, will offer special programming and discounts to all students and faculty at Broward College.

Shannon Schell, part of Diadem's management team and Project Executive of this facility, expressed his gratitude for the partnership with Broward College, stating "We couldn't be more appreciative of our partners over at Broward College. Without them, this facility wouldn't be possible. We look forward to a long-lasting relationship with their team."

Diadem credits Broward College, known for their creativity in partnering with local businesses, in being a key influence to making this project happen. The Diadem Pickleball Complex is a welcomed addition to the community, offering a top-notch facility for pickleball players in South Florida. With its championship-level indoor courts and range of programming, the Diadem Pickleball Complex is sure to become a popular destination for players of all ages and skill levels.

Michael Manglardi, Co-Founder of Diadem Sports, highlighted the location of the facility in the heart of the pickleball scene in South Florida, saying, "We're a Florida-based company in the middle of one of the best pickleball communities in the world. We couldn't think of a better location for our flagship pickleball complex. This has been something we've been working on for quite some time, and we can't wait to welcome the South Florida community to the DPC."

Gene DeVito, Diadem’s Director of Programming, added, “This facility is for anyone and everyone from all levels of play! Our programming will be structured so that you are always playing at or slightly above your skill level. However, what I am most excited about is the community experiences we’re going to create for all of our players at the DPC. Starting a new sport can be intimidating to some, but I plan to make that first time picking up a paddle an unforgettably fun outing during our "Intro to Pickleball" class that we will offer weekly. We are also looking forward to hosting weekly tournaments and events for our higher level players as well, so that they can continue to grow their games against new players each week.”

The facility is located at 1000 Coconut Creek Boulevard, Coconut Creek, FL 33066, and will hold a grand opening party, open to the public, on Saturday, June 17th. Diadem Sports is excited to offer this facility to the community and looks forward to seeing the facility grow and thrive in the coming years.
